I haven’t posted anything in a while… Shame on me, I know. I’ve got some stuff in the works, not yet to be seen by the public. You are so patient, no hate mail for disappearing on you (hehe). Treble Clef

I was asked to make a tattoo for a friend and he wanted a treble clef. After a good brain storming session, I came up with a tattoo (not showed here). These are some of the sketches I did, and didn’t want to go to waist in my sketch book. Enjoy.

Fund Project Austin

I just found these images today. I can’t believe I forgot about them…

A group of my classmates and I wanted to go to the HOW conference last year. Considering HOW is like $1000 for everything including travel, we had this idea to ask companies around our area to fund some poor college students. We wanted to make is a portfolio piece and go full out with a website and mailers. I put an “under construction” page up on the website, but I’m pretty sure the logo was the last thing we did before the group fell apart. Senior portfolio is not the time to do such extensive extracurricular projects when only 2 of 5 people want to do the work (smh). It was an exciting project and I really wish we could have finished it. I’d invite anyone in school, PLEASE steal this idea for the next HOW or AIGA conference (or any other). Let me know if you are, maybe I’ll send you some money.

Quark!

So, I’ve been learning Quark… It’s so similar to InDesign, I always thought it was gonna crazy hard or extremely different. Other than the commands, and some of the terms, its pretty similar. There’s even some things that may make me a Quark user permanently. Anyway, I’m only in the 4th chapter of the lynda tutorials (out of 20). Here’s my first attempt at Quark. It’s not complicated at all, just a quick try to get use to everything.

Anyone reading this?

Most designers have these blogs with all kinds of work and insight into the wonderful world of graphic design. I have a blog, because I thought “why not???” I don’t know what to write on it half the time. I want to rant sometimes, but I feel that may detrimental to getting a job. Even though I don’t think the things I have to rant about are out of the ordinary, but one post out of 5 saying I hate this or that, probably won’t go over well. Anyway…. this is as close as I could get to ranting about ranting …RANT sounds weird after you say it too many times lol …even looks weird now.

God help anyone who subscribes to this blog …you’re gonna be annoyed every time a new post pops up on your reader! (Subscribe to my Google Reader over there!>>> You’ll be much more satisfied with the content, cuz I didn’t write it!)

Golden Harvest, The Lost Mixtape

Shout out to Corey, my favorite producer! Just dropped his first mix tape!!! HAHA!

I had some fun with helping him come up w/ an album cover concept and website in a couple days. It wasn’t a serious album, just a compilation of all his friends that had come into the studio to try their hand at rapping and singing.
